Do not self harm. Here is something you could try to help you not self harm:
Write some of your closest friends/family members/people you care about/love ect. names on your wrist. If you decide to cut on that person’s name, it means that you have killed them.
If you need to hurt yourself, do it in a controlled and less harmful way. A good idea is to wear a rubber band around your wrist. Every time you want to cut, snap the rubber band against your wrist instead.
If you want to self harm, draw a butterfly with permanent marker on your wrist/thigh/arm ect. Name the butterfly after a loved one, or someone that wants you to feel better. Let the butterfly fade away naturally, don't scrub it off. If you harm before the butterfly fades, you've killed it. But if it fades away naturally and you didn't harm, it lives. Another person may also want to draw that butterfly for you which makes them more 'special'.
If you feel the need to scratch, keep a special rock or other small item with you at all times to pick at if the urge comes. It sends the same type of stimulus to your brain. Also, Five Gum wrappers are wax paper covered in foil, so scratching the foil off of the wax paper may help.
You may add on.
Please don't let yourself become addicted to this. It may not be defined as disease but it is. It becomes one. Once you start, you can't stop. It's a never ending cycle. Wanting to cut wanting to cut wanting to cut. The best thing you can do to avoid self-harming is by not harming yourself at all. Do something else to occupy your time like the options above. You are better than this.
